The KOM of the ECOMAR Project (Fast Deployment Early Warning Environmental System) took place on 12 January 2024 in the University of Studies of Roma Tre.
The interdisciplinary project combines an amphibious marine vehicle (our SeTeL – MAR (Multipurpose Amphibious Rover), with early warning techniques for observing the marine environment. It is a project in line with the trajectory of the Sea Economy Specialization Area of the RIS3 called “Development of Early Warning Systems” reported by the Lazio Region as of priority interest. The project involves SeTeL – Servizi Tecnici Logistics s.r.l. in the redesign and creation of the new marine Rover by integrating the appropriate components and sensors; various departments of Roma Tre University will be involved in research, design and small-scale prototyping of the components necessary to adapt the agricultural Rover to the marine environment and make it suitable for the early warning and fast deployment mission; ESSEODUE srl will deal with the definition and design of the chemical-physical-biological analysis methodology for early warning purposes; FAAL BATTERIE SRL will deal with the study, analysis and design of the optimal system for energy storage via batteries.
