On 14 May 2025, the Italian edition of the OPUS Suite Conference was held in Bacoli at Leonardo Electronics‘ facility, organised by SeTeL and Systecon (Opus Suite – Life-Cycle Management Software | Systecon Group).

This unique event brought together experts from defence, industry and academia to share experiences and best practices in Life-Cycle Management (LCM), Integrated Logistics (ILS/IPS) and advanced use of the OPUS Suite for decision support.

A rich, hands-on agenda

Highlights included presentations by:

• Stefano Baglioni, Head of Land & Sea CS&SS Engineering, who warmly welcomed the guests;

• Commander Alessandro Peisino, who outlined the Italian Navy’s ILS/IPS approach;

• Luca Mennella and Ciro Ciccarelli of Leonardo Electronics, who showcased real-world OPUS Suite use cases for stock optimisation and obsolescence management.

The day covered key topics such as applying the S-Series framework, Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) contracts, and the evolution of decision-support tools in military and civilian domains.

The Bacoli setting fostered a dynamic environment where companies and institutions explored new solutions and strategies to boost the efficiency and sustainability of complex systems.

The magical atmosphere of the sunset provided the perfect backdrop for the aperitif dinner on the previous evening, creating an ideal setting for enjoyable informal networking.
